Wedding Day/Night: Suite # 345 with two bathrooms for added convinience in getting ready for the big day
Honeymoon: Junior Suite # 241 with huge rooftop terrace for private sunbathing

When has the hotel been built?
Built in 1596, last renovated in 2010

If a couple would spend 7 nights and days during their honeymoon in your hotel -
a) which touristic attractions / excursions in your surroundings would you recommend most?
Hiking/mountainbiking or cycling in the direct vicinity of the hotel, enjoying the natural beauty of the South Black Forest
A visit to the chathedral of St. Blasien, the most beautiful white church one can immagine. Classical Concerts “Domfestspiele” in July/August
A visit to beautiful lake Schluchsee (just around the corner) and lake Titisee (30min drive), can be combined with a boad ride or sailing
A cabrio drive through the black forest landscape including a gourmet picnic from our chef
Shopping and cultural activities (museums, art galleries) in the cities of Freiburg (GER), Zürich (CH) and Luzern (CH)

b) which clubs / festivals / parties / discotheques would you recommend most?
Best evening thing to do for couples is a romantic candle light dinner in our gourmet restaurant

c) which weeks of the year usually have the lowest price because of low season?
January-March

Can you tell us something about the options and capacities to have a wedding reception?
Wedding venues:
In the main hotel: Elegant library for small wedding dinners <40 people, can be combined with the lobby/bar area to accomodate up to 100 people for dinner as well as a dancing (all in one room seperated from other hotel guests). In respect to other hotel guestst no music after midnight
In our restaurant Chämi-Hüsle 300 meter down the road: Rustic venue and beautiful garden for the wedding reception, rehearsal dinner or morning after brunch. Music can play after midnight, too.
Important: This is a vacation hotel with other hotel guests. Beyond noise considerations later at night at the main hotel, hotel rooms that can be reserved for the wedding party are limited. There are hotels of all price categories in walking distance

Is it possible to have a legal and / or ceremonial wedding at your property (or at a special place in your surroundings)?
Legal/religious/free ceremonies can be held in a romantic small chapel on a hill overlooking the village

What else is special about your property?
We are a Relais & Châteaux Hotel, our restaurant is the oldest Michelin starred gourmet restaurant in Germany (Michelin Star since 1966)
