In which year did you start your wedding planning business and which reasons made you start working in this job?
I officially started my wedding business in October of 1992, after working for another wedding company here in Maui for 4 years as their main photographer.

Do you work alone or in a team?
I have a team of two wedding planners on Maui and a two planner on Oahu and one on Kauai.

In which languages can you take care of your customers?
Usually just English, although we have ministers who will perform weddings in Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese and Hawaiian.

What are the main regions where you are planning weddings?
We perform weddings in the Hawaiian Islands of Maui, Oahu, Kauai & the "Big Island" of Hawaii.

What are your personal favourites regarding:
- a location for a destination wedding in your home region?
I like weddings at hotel locations in Makena & Wailear, Maui best.
- a location for a wedding reception in your home region?
I like simple receptions overlooking the beach.
- a country / region / hotel for a honeymoon?
There are many great hotels in Hawaii. I like the Hyatt Regency in Maui and the Turtle Bay Resort in Oahu.

Have you organised weddings for prominent people?
Yes. we have arranged weddings for a famous baseball player and a TV Producer.

Have you organised weddings for couples from outside your country?
Yes, definitely. We have arranged weddings for couples from almost every country. Here is a list: Holland, Australia, Japan, Canada , Germany, China, Norway, Sweden, England,Denmark, France, Guam, Spain, New Zealand, Antigua.
Mostly international couples come from Canada.

Could you tell us a little story about something special that you have experienced during your work as a wedding planner?
Probably the couple that we married who were in their 70's who dated when they were in High School. They then moved away from home and both married someone else and had children and lived a whole life. In their later years, both of their spouses passed away. They then found each other in their 70's through a mutual friend. Both of them had moved back to their home town in the houses that they grew up in, they found that they lives only a few miles from each other. They fell in love all over again, and came to Hawaii to marry. That was a special story.
